Description:
As one of the premier programs at Pazzaz, the "Educate to Elevate! Tutoring and Homework Assistance Program" employs a unique holistic approach, the "Total Child Model," to accomplish immediate improved academic performance as well as the development of lifelong study skills.  Trained tutors whom all are either college students or accredited university graduates, work with small groups of four students guiding them through understanding their daily school material and homework.  To better understand specific needs, the Program Administrator, through the adjunct program "School Buddy," visists the school to observe the student engaged in a typical classroom situation.  In a further extension, the "Learning Zone Home," assistance is extended to the families to create the most positive learning environment at home.  The "Educate to Elevate! Tutoring and Homework Assistance" program supports students in grades 1-12 and operates five days a week.  In the "Neighbor to Neighbor" program, Pazzaz brings academic and enrichment directly to families living in low-income apartment complexes.  Students just walk out of their front door into an educational environment that supports their academic and personal development needs.  PROGRAM CURRENTLY INACTIVE
