PAZZAZ was founded in 1995 by Paul and Zoneice Jones. Paul, a retired U.S. Army first sergeant and from the Department of Defense, and Zoneice, former personnel director for San Diego Trust and Savings, created PAZZAZ from their concern for the literacy skills of children. In her position, Zoneice interviewed many young people who were completely unprepared to succeed in the workforce or in life.

PAZZAZ is the result of their desire to create a solution. The Joneses committed themselves and their resources to provide effective educational and motivational intervention for underachieving youth. They’ve helped thousands of children overcome academic struggles and blossom in their new-found success.
